NEWS & UPDATES
July 19, 2008 || Megalyn joins "CSI: Miami"
Megalyn has been announced as a new recurring character on the CBS drama, CSI: Miami.
The show premieres with its seventh season this Fall on September 22nd at 10PM Eastern. Megalyn will play the new coroner Dr. Tara Price, who makes a good first impression with Lt. Horatio Caine and his team of CSIs. It has been said that Megalyn is expected to at least partially fill the void left by the departure of actress, Khandi Alexander who played Miami-Dade medical examiner Dr. Alexx Woods, since the show began in 2002.
|
Like the original CSI,
CSI: Miami is a police procedural about a team of forensic scientists. It is set in present-day Miami-Dade County.
The team investigates mysterious and unusual deaths to determine who killed whom and why, and also solves other serious crimes. The show frequently focuses on a single case in each episode, or an investigation branched off from the main case, as opposed to the two-cases-per-episode storytelling of its sister shows,
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and
CSI: NY.

ETA: Megalyn has been bumped up from 'recurring character' to 'series regular' with her new role on CSI: Miami. Her first appearance will be on the second episode of the new season. Congratulations, Megalyn! (08/26/08)

April 7, 2008 || "The 4400" Season 4 DVD Release
The fourth and final season DVD boxset of USA network's "The 4400" has been scheduled for release on May 6, 2008.
The show's cancellation was announced in December 2007, due to the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike, budgetary problems, and lower-than-anticipated ratings. While fans are still fighting hard for it's continuation, no plans of renewal have been announced. According to TheFutonCritic.com, the studio has begun selling off wardrobe, props and even sets from the show.
|
Synopsis: Over the last century, thousands of people have gone missing. Suddenly and inexplicably, 4400 missing people are returned, all at once, exactly as they were on the day they vanished. It quickly becomes apparent that their presence will change the human race in ways no one could have foreseen.
